CHECK IT OUT!
THE NEW CRUISE NIGHTS SECTION IS ON THE EVENTS PAGE!
This is it !! The only
meeting we have left is the
one on June 12th and that is
the one where we stuff the
goodie bags, get an idea on
what we have for Chinese
Auction items and get a firm
fix on the weather. I hope all
of you are out there and actively
promoting the show.
As most of you know, this will
be an opportunity to get involved
and sharpen your skills
in running a relatively small
car show. Next year we hope
to bump it up a notch and
host a Regional Mustang Club
of America (MCA) show as a
precursor to taking on the
huge challenge of holding a
National MCA show in 2011.
Large events may seem intimidating
at first glance, but
with enough help, they can be
broken down into smaller pieces
and successfully completed.
One of those smaller steps is
this year’s show. I encourage all
of you to step up to the challenge,
show some pride in your
club and dedicate some of your
time the worthy cause of supporting
the Mercy Flight airambulance
service.
Our club is growing by leaps
and bounds and there are new
faces at every meeting. Our
Vice President of Late Model
Mustangs, Joel Kopp, has taken
on the role of Event Coordinator
and he has an incredible list
of cruise nights, car shows and
even a club picnic at Dave
Albert’s house on his radar
screen. Joel’s main mechanism
for communication to the club
membership is via e-mail. If you
haven’t provided him your e
-mail address by now, do it
soon !! The time to get the cars
out of storage and enjoying
them is yesterday and I’ve got a
feeling this summer is going to
go by in the wink of an eye.
Stay informed, get involved
and take full advantage of being a
member of the Shelby and
Mustang Club of Western New
York.
